Two courses - the program is listed below - both courses include identication, all methods or control with emphasis on chemical control.
Courses will be in the week commencing 7th May
Echuca:
This course will include the NSW requirements of National Parks and Wildlife as required by the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage.
Melbourne:
This course will give more detail on physical methods of control - especially netting, spikes and shock systems.
Garrards have developed a comprehesive 'Pest Bird Management Course' to meet the requirements of the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage for use of avicides in that State. If you are using avicides in NSW there are now penalties for even possessing Alphachloralose, Scatterbird and Avigel (max penalty $60,000). Garrards have been requested to present another course for the 'border hoppers' in Victoria. (A course was presented in Wodonga last year.)
RESTRICTED CHEMICAL PRODUCTS - AVICIDE PRODUCTS GARRARDS OFFER A PEST BIRD COURSE WHICH COMPLIES WITH THE NSW 'PESTICIDE CONTROL (AVICIDE PRODUCTS) AMENDMENT ORDER 2010'.
COST:
$220 with a TAFE Certificate (required if you intend to treat birds in NSW with an avicide)
$150 with a Garrards Certificate
Courses require a full day attendance.

Birds rolling in deep? Get up-to-date training on the management of Pest Birds through a Garrards Accredited training course.
This course is delivered by Garrards and will take up to 8 hours to complete. Places are limited.
Cost for this course is $225 ex GST. This includes hands-on training, reference material as well as morning tea and lunch. The course meets with applicable QLD and NSW legislation.
